RS Sailing’s new RS Aero has received the backing of the Marine Insurance market with the launch of a specialist scheme for owners of the new craft. Helen Llewellyn Managing Director of Direct Protect Solutions has brokered a deal with specialist Marine Insurance broker Insurance Risk & Claims Management (IRCM).
Helen said “In putting together a product for Aero owners we had to balance quality of the security with a competitive premium. Insurers generally were suggesting comparatively high premiums because of the Aero’s carbon fibre components but we were able to agree a competitive £75.00 premium with IRCM. The deal sees a £5 donation for every policy sold going to the RS Aero Class Association as additional support for RS Sailng.
