Marine business owners have received a boost with the launch of a new Public Liability and Yachtyard Liability Insurance scheme by Marine Insurance specialists IRCM.  Entry-level protection begins at only £291.15 including tax and admin fee.

The new, low-cost Marine Trade Insurance policy is aimed at both static and mobile marine businesses.  There is no restriction in the size of business that can benefit from access to the programme and liability limits up to £10,000,000 are available if required.

The facility is underwritten by Liability Insurance specialists AmlinUK.  Whilst most Marine businesses will enjoy access to competitive premiums backed by the Lloyds of London security, the insurance scheme is particularly aimed at the following Marine occupations:

 Inland Boat Hirers

Benefits of the new insurance policy include cover for heat-work away from the main premises of the business and, unlike many Marine Trade Insurance covers there is no limit to the amount of non-marine work policyholders are allowed to undertake.  Cover can be arranged over the telephone or by email and there are no proposal forms to complete.

The scheme is open to businesses working on vessels up to 100 feet overall length or vessels with a maximum value of £1,250,000.  Alternative low-cost Marine Insurance facilities are available for businesses working on larger vessels.
